MOSES LAKE - Despite still missing some new features and amenities, Moses Lake's new swim facility is something to behold.

"It's amazing," head coach Anthony St. Onge said. "Overall our architects did an amazing job."

Moses Lake girls swim was finally able to showcase its new digs Thursday in a triple dual meet against Eisenhower, Davis and Sunnyside.

It was the third scheduled home meet of the season for the Chiefs, but the first to be held at Moses Lake High School.

Head coach Anthony St. Onge was frustrated with the delayed opening earlier in the season, but admits that the new pool was definitely worth the wait.

"They say good things are worth waiting for so I guess so," he said.

It was a joyful grand opening for the Chiefs, as Moses Lake (8-1) won all three of its match-ups: 113-69 against Sunnyside, 131-51 against Eisenhower and 145-31 against Davis.

Moses Lake took first in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay and second in the 200 medley relay.

Megan Washburn won the 200 freestyle, Shyanne Speed won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle and Anna Fair won the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

Jordan Richeson took second in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke. Addison Fair placed second in the 100 breaststroke.

"Moses Lake came out strong with a desire to compete at 100 percent especially since this was our first opportunity to swim in the new pool," St. Onge said.
