Idaho Potato Museum eyes improvements
BLACKFOOT - The Idaho Potato Museum in southeast Idaho is undergoing improvements which include opening a restaurant so visitors can eat potatoes.
Museum Executive Director Tish Dahmen told KIFI-TV that artifacts at the museum in Blackfoot will have better interpretive information.
Dahmen said opening the restaurant is important because tourists want to eat potatoes when they're in a region she called the potato capital of the world.
Dahmen said a future project includes expanding and organizing the gift shop.
Small plane crashes in southwest Idaho
NAMPA - Two people received minor injuries in a small plane crash at the Nampa Municipal Airport in southwest Idaho.
Authorities say the light sport aircraft called a Kitfox slid off the runway while attempting a landing and ended up on its top at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday.
Nampa police say the two people were treated at the scene and not taken to a hospital. Their names haven't been released.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
