We are very fortunate to have candidates with experience at being successful in both the private and public sectors.

I met Mary Souza five years ago when she, and husband Rick, had donated the use of staging, tables, curtains, etc. for a rally from their company Design Events. Generosity is a habit with the Souzas. As a longtime resident having raised a family here while running a successful small business, Mary truly understands the realities and needs of our community. She is honest and has the fortitude to tell the truth even when it hurts.

Kathy Sims has proven herself to be an excellent representative in the House. She has the wisdom, intelligence and experience to be able to see past what the proponents say a bill will do and base her vote on what it will actually do. She consistently votes for greater freedom and lower taxes for Idaho citizens and she has a Freedom Index rating in the top ten percent of the legislators. When she is not in Boise she is running a successful small business and educating the public about important local issues.

Marc Eberlein and David Stewart are men we can trust as County Commissioners. Both run businesses, have a record of community service and worked tirelessly and successfully to defeat the ULUC property rights grab. They will use common sense to make incremental improvements to the land use code and will have a fiscally conservative approach to county government.

Ron Mendive and Vito Barbieri are proven conservatives, having the second and fourth highest Freedom Index ratings. Their experience, leadership and dedication earned them each another term.

Jim Brannon, as Clerk, is absolutely committed to honest, fair, transparent and accurate elections.

Steven Matheson will bring experience, competency and complete accounting to the Treasurer’s office.
