Carolyn Arlyne Mohn Hart, 82
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 10 years, 3 months AGO
Carolyn Arlyne Mohn Hart, 82, passed away on Oct. 12, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center from heart and lung failure. She passed on peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born in Kalispell on Nov. 24, 1931, to Mens and Hilda Mohn. She graduated from Flathead County High School in 1951.
Her tall, dark and handsome cowboy, Harry W. “Bud” Hart, rode into her life in 1952. They were married Aug. 30, 1952. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Laura. Mom was a stay-at-home wife and mother except for cleaning offices so she could contribute to and keep more horses, which, besides her family, was her greatest love. They were charter members in the Arabian Horse Club and Somers Saddle Club, as they raised and showed locally their cherished steeds.
Bud passed away in 1976, and she then devoted her life to spoiling her grandkids, which she did very well. A cherished memory of Mom will also be her endless love of all her four-legged lap warmers. She went to work at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and retired after 13 years of service. During this time she became a member of the local Fraternal Order Eagles. Residing at the same residence for over 60 years, she spent much of her time taking care of her 3-acre yard and keeping her faithful woodstove burning.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Linda Radabah, and Laura Wester and husband Dave Bjelland, of Kalispell; grandchildren, Chad Radabah and wife Kim of Hot Springs, Tami Peterson and husband David of Kalispell, Cody Wester and wife Angel of Columbia Falls, and Landon Wester and fiancee Amber Widhalm, of Chester; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Dustyn Radabah, Reid and Wyatt Peterson and Santana, and Dani and Ragan Wester; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Evelyn, Mabel, Norma and Francis; brothers, Earl “Bill” and Marvin; and her loving soulmate, Bud.
Graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, (“Sorry, Mom”) at Glacier Memorial Gardens. An open house will be held at her home following the service.
