Football roundup: Bulldogs whip Frenchtown, claim Northwestern A title

FRENCHTOWN – Brian FauntLeRoy had touchdown runs of 5, 30 and 26 yards as Whitefish dumped Frenchtown 35-9 Friday night to claim its first Northwestern A football championship in 12 years.
Whitefish (6-2 overall, 3-0 league) led 21-3 at the half and scored in every quarter.
FauntLeRoy finished with 102 yards rushing on eight attempts.
Whitefish quarterback Luke May was 9 of 12 passing for 109 yards. He hit Jack Streibich on a 25-yard TD strike in the opening quarter.
May also rushed for 68 yards.
Gus Butler had 124 yards rushing on 27 for Frenchtown (3-5, 2-2). He scored on a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Whitefish hosts Libby on Friday.

Havre 39, Polson 21
HAVRE — Dane Warp threw four touchdown passes, two to Jacob Labrie, as Havre (3-5) rolled to a Class A nonconference football victory over Polson (3-5).
Polson scored on touchdown passes by Wyatt Ducharme of 44 yards to Jacob Harrod and 45 yards to Matthew Rensvold.
Bridger Rowley completed Polson’s scoring with a 24-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Polson hosts Columbia Falls on Friday.

COLUMBIA FALLS — Nine different players scored touchdowns as Columbia Falls (6-1, 2-1) whipped Libby (2-6, 0-3) in a Northwestern A contest.
Wyatt Green returned a kickoff 77 yards for a TD and led the ground game with 82 yards on eight attempts.
Steven Lindsey rushed for 80 yards on eight totes for the Wildcats.
Josh Snyder started the scoring by returning an interception 25 yards for a score in the opening quarter.
Dakota Bridwell was 7 of 12 passing for 141 yards. He hit Ty Morgan on a 20-yard TD strike and Justin McManus for a 13-yard score.
Morgan had four receptions for 78 yards.
Ike Schweikert had touchdown runs of 3 and 6 yards. Connor Bowman also scored twice on short runs of 6 and 9 yards.
Nathan Riley completed the scoring with a 51-yard jaunt.
Columbia Falls had 480 yards of total offense to 95 for Libby.

Isaac Martel caught a 22-yard touchdown from Sandry and Tyler Piazzola returned an interception for the Vikings.
