NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals rally to win three straight

RANGELY, Colo. - The North Idaho Cardinals bounced back from a close loss in the first game on Friday, winning 23-25, 25-10, 25-13, 25-22 over theColorado Northwestern Spartans in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

"It was a rough start for the girls," NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. "Colorado Northwestern played well during the first and fourth games. We are struggling a little due to a couple injuries last week. Hopefully we can get healthy and back on track."

Dzeni Hadzisehovic put down 22 kills for the Cardinals (9-7, 3-3 SWAC). Brenna Meehan added 16 kills and 27 digs, while Maddi Seidl finished with 48 assists.

Johanna Purdy led the Spartans (5-17, 0-6) with 14 kills.

NIC plays today at Utah State-Eastern in Ephraim, Utah.
