Babcock swims well with Wave Ryders at meet

Columbia Falls swimmer Colton Babcock recently won several races with the Wave Ryders swim club’s Fall Frenzy on Oct. 11.
Babcock won the 100 freestyle, the 200 freestyle, the 100 breaststroke, the 100 butterfly and the 400 intermediate medley in the male 15-16 year old age group.
Teammate Zayne Friar took third in the 100 freestyle and second in the 50 and 100 butterfly in the same age group.
Babcock set club records in the 100 breast stroke, 100 butterfly and the 400 intermediate medley with times of 1:08.06, 56.41 and 4:43.52 respectively.
Both Babcock and Friar plan to compete in Columbia Fall High School’s inaugural swim team program which starts next month.
