Volleyball edges Polson for first win

Whitefish volleyball held on to get its first win of the season Thursday at Polson.
The Lady Dogs opened a 2-0 lead before giving up the next two games to force a fifth set.
In the final frame, Whitefish was able to pull out the 15-13 win.
Myndi Holbrook led the Dogs with eight of the team’s 33 kills.
Rachael Seymour had three blocks to lead the defense.
Allie Schulz tallied 15 assists and 19 digs, while Maura Kalbfleisch had three of Whitefish’s eight aces.
Whitefish is now 1-8 overall and 1-4 in league play. The team hosted Libby on Tuesday.
Thursday Anaconda comes to town for a non-conference match. It’s also senior night for Whitefish.

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
