MOSES LAKE - People who want to get a safe-for-the-eyes peek at a partial solar eclipse are being invited to Big Bend Community College Thursday. Telescopes with solar filters will be set up on the lawn between 1:40 and 4:25 p.m.

Astronomy 101 students and instructor Jim Hamm will set up their telescopes next to the Wallenstien Theater, on the grass between the theater and the Math/Science building. Astronomy enthusiasts with their own solar telescopes are invited to join the group, Hamm said.
