EPHRATA - The City of Ephrata and the family of an Ephrata woman who was murdered in September have increased the reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
The city, family and friends of Lucille Moore, 82, of Ephrata, have upped their reward from $4,000 to $14,100 for information on Moore's homicide, according to city administrator Wes Crago. The majority of the funds have been raised by the family and friends of Moore, with the city posting some funds as well.
On Sept. 8, Moore was found dead in her Sunset Street home in Ephrata. Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison determined Moore was stabbed to death.
"The investigation remains ongoing. At this time, investigators continue to pursue leads, but much of the work is now forensic and lab-related. Results from the state crime lab can take several weeks, to over a month or more to complete, even for a high priority case like this," Crago said.
If you have any information on the case, confidential tips can be emailed to crimetips@ephrata.org or call the Ephrata Police Department at 509-754-2491 or MACC Dispatch at 509-762-1160.
