Early morning traffic crawls through the construction zone on U.S. 93 near Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish on Tuesday. According to Marc Blanden, chief estimator for Schellinger Construction, crews are working on the “milestone” section of the job that runs from Karrow Avenue to Fairway Drive. Blanden expects retaining walls to be complete by Nov. 10 and for paving to begin next week. Blanden said crew will shut down for the winter on Nov. 15 and begin again in April. The entire project is expected to wrap up in July 2015.
