The city of Lewiston is now the ninth city in Idaho with an ordinance protecting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people from discrimination.
The Lewiston City Council passed the ordinance Monday on a 5-2 vote.
Coeur d’Alene's anti-discrimination ordinance has been on the books since June 2013.
