Great Falls basketball

Legel, a 5-foot-5 junior guard from Coeur d'Alene High, eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in a 37-point effort on Oct. 18 against Warner Pacific, added 15 points and six assists in an 86-51 win against Mount Royal on Oct. 19 in Great Falls, Mont. She became the fifth Lady Argo (3-0) to reach 1,000 points. Last weekend, Legel averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Argos in wins against Lethbridge (82-57) and Mount Royal University (91-63), earning Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Eastern Washington golf

Dodge, a junior from Post Falls High, shot a 83-97-86-266 in the Colby Invitational, the fall finale for the Eagles at the Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, Calif., on Oct. 22. Eastern finished eighth out of 11 teams in the tournament.

Tanner Horton

McPherson College soccer

Horton, a freshman goalkeeper from Lake City High, was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 13-19 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. Horton made 15 saves for the NAIA Bulldogs (8-3-2, 4-0-1) in nearly two games, allowing two goals.

Bayley, a freshman from Lakeland High, finished tied for seventh at the Bill Cullum Invitational with a five-under 211 (69-72-70) at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, Calif., on Oct. 22.

Bayley, a sophomore from Lakeland High, shot a low round of 80 in the second round to finish 19th (92-80-172) in the Northwest Conference Fall Classic on Sunday at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Newberg, Ore.

Timmy Mueller

Oregon State soccer

Mueller, a freshman from Post Falls High, scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season - a header from inside the penalty box - in the Beavers' (9-6-1, 2-4-1 Pac-12) 2-1 loss to the sixth-ranked UCLA Bruins on Sunday in Corvallis, Ore. Mueller has started five of the team's 16 games this season, with three game-winning goals.
