Florence Elizabeth Ellison, of Post Falls, Idaho, went to her Lord on Oct. 24, 2014, at North Idaho Hospice House, where she was cared for by its phenomenal staff. Florence passed due to congestive heart failure. She was 91.

Florence Elizabeth Allen was born on July 1, 1923, to Wesley and Helen Allen of Long Meadow, Mass. She married Verne William Ellison, Jr., on Sept. 7, 1946, in Springfield, Mass., after he returned from World War II.

Florence and her husband attended Coeur d'Alene Bible Church for 27 years. She was an active member of the Birthday Club, where she loved to spend time with her close friends.

Florence Ellison is survived by her husband of 68 years, Verne; daughters Coralee Ellison of Hayden and Janice Camster (Douglas) of Rathdrum; three grandchildren: Grant of Post Falls, Spencer (Charli) of Hayden, and Seth (Ashley) of San Francisco, who were able to spend memorable moments with Florence at Kootenai Health this past September.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene.
