Bigfork has a new full-day preschool.

The Yellow Bridge Road Learning Center opened earlier this month and is now enrolling children ages three to six.

The center is at 195 Bridge St., at the corner of Montana 209 and Bridge Street.

“I just found out there was a need for a full day preschool,” Yellow Bridge Road Learning Center owner Vicki Pauley said.

Pauley, who recently moved to Bigfork, has taught preschool for 33 years in California and Nevada. “I was excited to have my own preschool,” she said. “I knew I wanted to teach young children for as long as I can remember. I just love everything about them. It’s so much fun to watch them because they have so much joy in learning.”

While enrollment is open Pauley plans to limit the number of students to 12. There are two teachers. “I wanted it to be that way for quality,” she said, “so I can spend some one-on-one time with them. This is definitely not babysitting. This is a quality preschool program.”

Curriculum will focus on social skills, problem solving, life skills, language, arts, early literacy, pre-writing skills, music and dance, math concepts and science.
