OTTER: Wrong for working man

Before we go to the polls Nov. 4 maybe we should ask ourselves if Butch Otter has the best interests of the working man, the low income people in Idaho or the social security recipients when he actually makes reference publicly that he is well off financially and does not need a grocery tax credit of $100 therefore we should do away with such grocery credit.

Give us a break: I know people who shop in Washington state where there is no tax on food items. If he wants to do something for the people of Idaho how about doing away with the tax on food. Especially if he is going to take our $100 refund away.

Surprise, surprise, what should we expect from a governor who is receiving massive amounts of campaign contributions from special interest groups in Nevada to continue his excellent job of controlling gambling at Indian casinos? After all, they would not benefit from losses of income at their casinos if Idaho were to allow the all-out gambling Washington has. Who knows, they might have a rerun of what has happened in Atlantic City.

Who is Butch Otter working for?
