Coeur d'Alene Sting U13 girls Eindhoven: The Sting tied the Spokane Foxes FC 1-1. Jordan Roth scored for the Sting off an assist by Jaizee Cessna.

Sting U13 boys Liverpool: The Sting lost 3-1 to FC Spokane on Oct. 21. Jackson Henkle scored on a penalty kick for the Sting.

On Saturday, the Sting beat the IEYSA Breakers 4-1. Jadyn Freeman scored two goals, one via penalty kick, and Josh Brisendine and Carson Jacobsen each scored once. Braden Jackson had five saves.

On Sunday, the Sting played to a scoreless tie vs. ASE Nacional - Ramirez, and lost 2-0 to Cobra Morritos United. McKie Gregory had eight saves in the shutout.

Sting U11 boys Barcelona: The Sting wrapped up their fall season by defeating the Sandpoint Strikers (Wolf) 9-1. Brayden Bengtson and Kohrt Weber each scored hat tricks, and Walker Jump and Connor Norris each scored once. Joseph Sarkis, Brayden Bengston and Connor Norris each had an assist, and Cole Jaworski, Nik Nowak and Sean Heuer teamed for the win in goal.

Sting U12 girls AC Milan: The Sting notched a 3-1 win over the FPSC Fury in the PSPL Classic Premier league on Sunday. Claire Romero scored two goals, Dillen Duncan one. Goalkeeper Alexandra Plucker had nine saves.

Sting Premier U9 boys Juventus: The Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers Eddy 9-0 on Oct. 18. Connor Jump had four goals and three assists, Aaron Ivankovich scored three goals and Trenton Anderson had two goals. Gavin Schoener, Trygve Sowa and Ari Rumpler combined in goal for the shutout.

On Oct. 21, the Sting beat the Sting AC Milan 12-3. Trenton Anderson had three goals and two assists for Juventus. Gunner Larson added three goals, Connor Jump had two goals and five assists, Gavin Samayoa scored two goals, and Ronan Sternberg had two goals and one assist.

Brayden Ristic scored all three goals for Sting AC Milan.

Last Saturday, the Sting Juventus beat the Sandpoint Strikers U9 9-0. Gavin Samayoa led Sting with three goals, Trenton Anderson and Aaron Ivankovich each scored two goals, Connor Jump had one goal and three assists, and Lachlan May scored one goal. Gavin Schoener, Trygve Sowa and Ari Rumpler combined in goal for the shutout for Juventus.

The Academy Idaho U11 boys: The Academy tied the Wenatchee Fire 4-4 last weekend. Kameron Heston scored two goals for the Academy, and Braden Ferreira and Kobe Miller each scored once.

Sting U10 boys Lyons: The Sting Lyons lost 3-2 to the Sting Rangers last Tuesday. Aiden Smetzler and Andon Brandt scored for the Lyons.

On Saturday the Lyons beat Moscow 5-1 win. Jacob Ukich had a hat trick, and Luke Orozco and Chris Mongan each scored once.

Later that day, in their fall season finale, the Sting Lyons lost 8-1 to 3 Rivers. Dillan Millette scored the lone Lyons goal, on a header.

Academy Idaho U10 girls: The Academy tied the Spokane Foxes 3-3 last weekend. Rebecca Hines scored two goals for the Cads, Jenna Chase one.

Sting U10 girls: The Sting beat Lakeland 7-1 on Oct. 22 at Hayden Meadows. Brynn Johnson scored two goals for the Sting, one assisted by Madison Symons. Quinn Kennedy also scored twice, one assisted by Mia Bond. Jocelyn Dennis, Madison Symons and Emily Thorsen each scored once.

Last Saturday, the Sting beat 3 Rivers B 6-3. Mackenzie Goings and Jocelyn Dennis each scored two goals for the Sting, and Quinn Kennedy and Taleya Jones each scored once.

Later that day, the Sting lost 3-0 to 3 Rivers A.

Idaho Thunder U12 boys: The Thunder beat Lakeland 5-2 on Saturday. Logan Koller scored all five goals with assists by Landen Hughes, Devin Logan, Ethan Johnson and Quinn Henry.

Academy U14 girls: The Academy beat the IEYSA Breakers Shannon 1-0. Hannah Clarke scored the lone goal for the Academy.

BASEBALL

Future Viking Baseball Winter Academy: Coeur d'Alene High coaches and players head the instructional staff for players in grades 2-8, with instruction at the Viking Field House at Coeur d'Alene High.

Those in grades 2-5 will meet on Dec. 1, 8 and 15, and Jan. 5, 12 and 19, from 4 to 5:15 p.m.

Those in grades 6-8 will meet on Dec. 1, 8 and 15, and Jan. 5, 12 and 19, from 5 to 6:15 p.m.

The Academy is limited to 25 players per age group.

The Buzzsaw Wrestling Club had the following placers at the recent Bonners Ferry tournament:

Sixth grade

Vikings 12, Chargers 6: The Vikings finished up their season with a win, with Luke McLaughlin rushing for 71 yards, including a 5-yard TD run, and 31 yards receiving; Ty Pottenger had a 50-yard TD catch and 40 yards rushing; Alex Karns had 50 yards receiving; Jack Prka was 8 for 12 passing for 146 yards, 1 TD and no interceptions; Roddy Romero had a forced fumble; and Jackson Kohal and Brayden Booth each had three pancake blocks.

Seventh grade

Post Falls Seahawks 25, Sandpoint Bulldogs 24: The Seahawks defeated the Bulldogs in the league championship game at Post Falls High School.

Post Falls trailed 24-18 with 2:30 left in the game and drove 45 yards in under two minutes, tying the game on a 9-yard run by Derek Pearse and taking the lead on a PAT pass from Pearse to Jacob Burton.

Post Falls' other scores came on an 8-yard pass from Pearse to Burton, a 42-yard run by Eli Gondo and a 26-yard pass from Pearse to Grant Jones.

Pearse finished 10 of16 passing for 140 yards. Jones had four catches for 75 yards, Burton four catches for 45 yards and Brennen Froehlich two catches for 20 yards.

Leading rushers were Gondo with 119 yards, Jones with 97 yards and Pearse with 23 yards. Justin Gies had a fumble recovery for the defense.
