SHRINER: Leaves strong impression

I recently met Jerry Shriner at a neighborhood event and was very impressed with his answers to a myriad of questions posed by my neighbors. We need a commissioner (District 2) with the life experiences and personal qualities necessary to meet the challenges of county leadership.

After moving to Alaska in 1969, Jerry worked in several criminal justice-related positions before returning to Idaho in 1980. In 1988, Jerry returned to Alaska to work again in the corrections field, both for state government and for a public, non-profit sector. He completed his career in 1997 as special assistant to the Alaska commissioner of corrections before returning to his native Idaho.

Beyond his practical experience, Jerry makes it his mission to carefully listen to the opinions of others and makes it a point to attend a variety of public events and forums in order to understand our countywide issues and the concerns of its citizens.

Jerry Shriner is our best choice for Kootenai County commissioner. While he is a candidate from District 2, ALL county voters vote in all district races. Please join me in voting for Jerry Shriner on Nov. 4.
