Trick or treating around the county

Little ghosts, clowns, witches and princesses in Kootenai County have several Halloween trick or treating options beyond ringing doorbells.
Trick or treaters are welcome to visit Post Falls City Hall Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. for treats. The candy is provided by city employees.
In Rathdrum, little goblins and ghouls are invited to stop by City Hall for a treat between 3 and 5 p.m.
The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association will be presenting "Trick or Treat the Downtown" from 4-6 p.m. Shops along Sherman Avenue will be handing out candy. New this year is a "Trunk or Treat" show at Sixth Street and Sherman Avenue, featuring classic cars with decorated trunks for all ages to enjoy. The Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance will also be participating in "Trick or Treat the Downtown."
Police officers and firefighters will be handing out treats at Fourth Street and Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene starting at 4 p.m. Customer service employees in the lower level of Coeur d'Alene City Hall will be dressing in costume and will have treats to offer until City Hall closes at 5 p.m.
Candlelight Christian Fellowship is hosting a free, family-friendly Halloween Outreach event, with games, prizes and candy, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Silver Lake Mall, 200 W. Hanley Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
