• Chef Tim Heinig joins Tito's

Tito's Italian Grill & Wine Shop in downtown Coeur d'Alene has hired Chef Tim Heinig as head chef. Trained in Belgium, he was previously head chef at Beachouse Restaurant on Lake Coeur d'Alene.

Heinig said he plans to bring back some of the restaurant's traditional touches such as the "Tito's Truck" as well as fresh bread with every meal and gelato for dessert.

"I'm taking us back to the Tito's that everyone loves," he said. "I can promise fresh, high quality ingredients and an explosion of memorable flavors ... that's my favorite recipe."

• Medlock joins New York Life

Jake Medlock, of Post Falls, has been hired by the Eastern Washington General Office of New York Life as an agent for the New York Life Insurance Company.

"His eagerness to help families as they work to protect their financial futures will be beneficial to Post Falls community," Olja Djuranovic, partner at the Eastern Washington General Office, said in announcing the hire.

Medlock earned a bachelor of arts in communications from George Fox University and is currently working on his master's degree from Lincoln Christian University. He lives in Post Falls with his wife, Nicole, and daughter, Sophie. Medlock is also an active member and co-founder of his daughter's foundation, the Sophie's Slugger's Foundation for Childhood Cancer.

• Joel Pearl Group welcomes Gettman as buyer specialist

The Joel Pearl Group announced the addition of Brett Gettman as a buyer specialist. Gettman grew up in North Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in communication.

A licensed real estate agent since 2004, Gettman is one of the only agents in the state of Idaho to hold the Certified Aging In Place designation from the National Association of Home Builders.

"As a pilot, he is one of the state's foremost authorities on airpark real estate and all the locations in Idaho you can land a plane," states the group's announcement of Gettman's position.
