Girls soccer slips in opener at Hamilton

The Lady Bulldog soccer team is already moving past their season-opening 3-1 loss on the road at Hamilton.

“It was our first game, we’re looking to learn from this game and move forward,” Whitefish coach Wendy Farrens said.

After a scoreless first half, the Lady Broncs found the net in the 49th minute to grab the lead. Hamilton would put in two more before Whitefish’s Grace Kurtz hit the net in the 86th minute.

Kurtz’ goal came on an assist from Anna Peterson.

Whitefish will look to rebound at home Friday against Corvallis at 4 p.m. at Smith Fields.
