Man spreads his 'bad day' around at park

Kalispell Police were called to Woodland Park Loop on Monday when a man driving his vehicle was repeatedly screaming at people as they passed by, “Give it up,” and just “acting weird.” When officers spoke to the man, he stated he was just having a bad day and agreed to be more respectful to people. 

A woman called from Sinopah Street saying she had planted a new rose bush and her neighbor keeps tearing it up because she doesn’t like it. 

Three men were refused a hotel room at a South Main Street location after throwing beer bottles in the parking lot and smelling like marijuana. 

A man called for advice on how to handle his son, who may be taking drugs. 

License plates were stolen off a vehicle on U.S. 93 South sometime over the weekend. 

Teenagers were spotted lying down in an alley on Eighth Street West. Officers spoke to the group, who were just enjoying their lunch break from school and not doing anything wrong. 

A woman’s walker was stolen Sunday from Third Avenue West. 

A deer with a broken leg was trapped in someone’s yard on East California Street. 

A man reported hearing a single gunshot on Fifth Avenue East on Sunday night. 

A transient woman was reported at a store where she has been asked not to visit. 

A man called police Monday from a West Arizona Street location saying that he drank too much and needed to go to the hospital. The man discontinued the call when his dad arrived, but not before saying that he “felt like he was going to die.” 

A lot manager called police from West Idaho Street to report possible drug paraphernalia. Officers were only able to find some aluminum foil on the ground. 

A woman called from Liberty Street saying that a man had keys to her apartment and she wanted her locks changed. She was advised that this is a matter for the apartment manager, not 911. 

Columbia Falls Police received a call from Ninth Street West after someone drove off with $17 in gas. 

A car was egged on Kalispell Avenue, according to the Whitefish Police Department. 

A woman called from Baker Avenue on Monday night to say thank you to law enforcement. She also stated that she had a break up and “one too many martinis.” The woman also wanted to speak to an officer regarding security on her home, but she called back a few minutes later to say that “her muscle relaxer was starting to take effect.” 

Officers from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office were called to a Tamarack Lane house early Tuesday morning when the caller could hear something outside hitting the house as well as “growling and fighting” noises. The caller was worried that it was a bear, but it was just a deer. 

A man and woman were spotted on West Cottonwood Drive checking doors and looking around businesses early Monday morning. 

Two people were reported for sleeping in a laundry room on Montana 35. 

Theft was reported from a storage locker on Conestoga Court. A folding table saw, chop saw and propane heater were among items stolen. 

An employee working at a U.S. 2 East business requested a police walk-through Monday morning because she was worried about “weirdos” that were lingering outside. 

A dead buck was found in a man’s yard on Two Mile Drive that may have been shot. 

A man found a scabbard with a rifle on the side of the road near Polebridge. It appeared the gun fell out the back of a moving vehicle. 

Two calls were received from Columbia Falls, where a man was attempting to paint flags and numbers on the sidewalk in front of homes and asking residents for money for the service, claiming it was a fundraiser. 

A woman called from Eckelberry Drive saying that her neighbor goes out with a flashlight at night and looks around her property. The woman also said she’s had items missing from her property. 

A group of kids were setting off fireworks on Montclair Drive. 

Someone stole a PA system and a cooler with beer and pop inside at a car show in Hungry Horse. 

A vehicle was seen swerving on South Main Street with kids hanging out of the window. 

A group of people were reported for trying to sell wood outside of a U.S. 2 East business. 

A motorcycle was found in an abandoned storage unit on South Complex Drive. 

Two intoxicated men were reported for walking through a yard on Eighth Avenue West. When the homeowner told them they were not allowed to come through the property, they became belligerent. One of the men was cited for disorderly conduct. 

An elderly sounding woman called from East Oregon Street saying that “somebody is bothering her and pounding on things.” The woman said she just wanted to go to bed and not be bothered. 

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made two DUI arrests Monday.
