SANDPOINT — It’s been more than a decade since her daughter passed away, but for Sandpoint resident Stephanie Wold, the emotions still run raw.
The feelings resurfaced on Tuesday at City Beach, brought about by the kind and selfless act of two people Wold just met, part of a movement called Miles2Give.org. Landon Cooper and girlfriend Mary Flinders were passing through Sandpoint, just the latest stop on a 10,000-mile journey to raise money and awareness for the cancer, sarcoma.
The pair is running around the perimeter of the United States, starting at Times Square in New York City in late April, and hoping to finish at the same iconic venue in mid-February of 2015.
