Cross Country: Logan, Bryn Morley guide Bigfork at Reynolds Time Trials

CUT BANK — Logan Morley and his sister Bryn ran off with individual cross country titles on Friday at the Mike Reynolds Time Trials.
Logan Morley posted a time of 16 minutes, 15 seconds. He finished 37 seconds ahead of runner-up Cooper West of C.M. Russell.
Sylas Schutt of Flathead was third in 16:53. Jake Perrin of Flathead was fourth, 16:59.
Bryn Morley cruised to an easy victory, timed in 17:33. Gilliam Maness of Flathead was a distant second, 19:16.
Samantha Mundel of Columbia Falls was third, 19:32; Sarah Latcham of Whitefish fourth, 19:48; and Elizabeth Thompson of Flathead fifth, 19:52.
No team totals were kept.

Eureka-Libby dual
EUREKA — Colin Maloney of Libby and Alexandra Bartmess of Eureka posted the fastest times for boys and girls on Friday in a dual cross country outing at Indian Springs Golf Course.
Maloney was clocked in 18:00.94 while Bartmess was timed in 20:58.16.
Bartmess was the lone girl to finish under 21 minutes.
Four boys broke 19 minutes. Eureka’s Brian Sturdevant, 18:13.31, was second; Taj Hagen, 18:20.70, was third and Stephen Cooke, 18:47.71, was fourth.
Eureka’s boys and Libby’s girls were the team winners.

Carroll College Open
HELENA — Glacier dominated the Carroll College Early Bird Open.
The Wolfpack girls placed three in the first five spots and five total in the top 10. That gave Glacier a 27-point total to easily take team honors.
Helena, 49, wound up second.
Annie Hill, a freshman, led Glacier, finishing first in 17 minutes, 44.20 seconds. Corinne Hamilton, 20:27.8, was third; Bailey Smith, 20:39.3 fourth; Josie Brousseau, 21:52.8, ninth; and Jessica Chery, 21:53.7, 10th.
The Glacier boys were just as impressive, also having five crack the top 10.
Kade McCutcheon, 16:10.4, was second; Tevyn Stetson, 16:30.8; third; Logan Harmon, 16:59.4, fifth; Ruben Castren, 17:06.8, seventh; and Brock Adkins, 17:13.8, was eighth.
Aiden Reed of Helena had the top time — 15:35.5.
The Glacier boys, with 25 points, finished first. Helena, 30, was second.
