Man mistakes road for restroom

The Whitefish Police Department cited a man for urinating in public early Saturday morning on Central Avenue. Police also took man’s car keys so he wouldn’t drive while intoxicated. 


Columbia Falls Police assisted a man who had been locked out of his hostel Friday evening on First Avenue West. The man, who was extremely intoxicated, couldn’t remember the name of the hostel. 

A man left his backpack outside of a Ninth Street West location and came back two hours later to find that it had been stolen. His wallet was in the backpack. 

A woman called 911 sounding “very upset” but hung up before any more information could be gathered. 


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest of public nuisance charges Friday after receiving a disorderly conduct call near Riverside Park. 


Kalispell Police were called when a landlord was having trouble evicting tenants on Sixth Avenue East. 

A man called from Lawrence Park saying he had broken his leg and there was an open wound. 

A man found a note taped to this door that said “Smile, you’re on camry.” He believed the message meant to say “camera” and thought his neighbor was the one that put the note there. 

A man called from East Oregon Street saying that his fiancee was intoxicated and “having a fit.” 

A suspicious male was reported on Second Street West, lying on the ground and screaming. 

Criminal mischief was reported on Bing Court after a man said he believed his neighbor, whom he had prior incidents with, had urinated on his vehicle. 

Police were required to break up a fight between a man and woman on First Avenue West North on Friday night. 

A man called from U.S. 93 North just before midnight Friday saying that he was “being followed by men with big machine guns.” 

A woman called from Sinopah Street saying that her garden hose had been cut multiple times, and she suspected her neighbor was the culprit. 

Someone reportedly dumped their bathroom tank from a camper on Hutton Ranch Road. 

A man was reported for tailgating a school bus on Third Avenue East on Friday afternoon. 

A welfare check was requested on an elderly man who was driving around in circles and appeared to be lost Friday near First Avenue West North. 

Fireworks were reported near Sixth Avenue West. 

A man was involved in a motorcycle accident early Saturday on Conrad Drive.
