SANDPOINT — A Sandpoint Police Department traffic stop on Wednesday night turned up evidence to three unsolved burglary cases, according to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Thomas McGuire was stopped for a traffic violation in Fifth Avenue and charged with possession of methamphetamine and third-offense driving without privileges.

McGuire, 30, was interviewed and a search warrant was issued for his Ponderay residence and his vehicle. Items known to be stolen were recovered and additional property was also discovered, which may be unreported stolen property from crimes in the last month, sheriff’s Det. Sgt. Gary Johnston said in a news release.
