MISSOULA (AP) — Authorities say a Missoula man whose body was found at the bottom of a cliff west of Hamilton died in a rock climbing accident.

Ravalli County Sheriff and Coroner Chris Hoffman said Tuesday that 25-year-old Ryan Boyd Silsby died of blunt force trauma, and it was obvious he had fallen from a climbing route.

Silsby hadn’t been seen since Aug. 16 when he set out for a two-day camping trip in Blodgett Canyon. His vehicle was found in the day use parking area at the Blodgett Trailhead on Sept. 2, and his body was found Sunday.
