The third annual Montana Dragon Boat Festival was held Saturday on Flathead Lake.

The event is one of the 10 largest such festivals in the nation and featured 75 teams racing.

Traditional Hong Kong style dragon boats are 46 feet long, with 10 seats and 22 people. A drum seat in the front of the first two paddlers holds a drummer. The drummer should be the smallest, yet loudest member of your team.  The steersperson sits in the back and guides the boat with the steering oar.
