Linda Ann Taylor Lightbody, 74, went home to Jesus on Sept. 3, 2014. She passed peacefully at home with her loving husband and daughter by her side.

Linda was born on Aug. 11, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, to James Rusk Taylor and Dorothy Ida Sandel. She moved to California in 1945 and graduated from Whittier High School in 1958.

Linda spent most of her career as a court reporter after graduating Bryan College of Court Reporting in 1972. She worked as an independent contractor and as a court reporter in the Los Angeles Court system.

In 1972 Linda married her husband Ike, and they continued to reside in California until 2000 at which time they moved to Coeur d'Alene.

Linda and Ike became Christians in 1975 and have continued to serve the Lord since that time. She had many other interests over the years which included square dancing, playing bridge and baking to a crisp at the beach. Linda was also an accomplished tole painter, and leaves her family and friends with many beautiful works of art which will be cherished.

Linda was known for her quick wit and her love for the Lord. She spent her last days looking forward to meeting Jesus in Heaven and being reunited with her many beloved dogs.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ike; daughter Stephanie Casey (Robert); grandchildren Shealene, Sierra, Chase, and Taryn; sister Susan Taylor and brother Donald Taylor (Mary).
