SANDPOINT — A Montana woman was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail after attacking a Bonner County man with a barbell during a domestic dispute.

Charlyn Marie Chapman is charged with domestic violence resulting in traumatic injury, a felony offense.

Chapman made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Friday. Judge Lori Meulenberg sustained Chapman’s bail, appointed a public defender to represent her and entered an order barring Chapman from contacting the alleged victim, court records show.

Chapman, a 29-year-old who lists a home address in Anaconda, is accused of using a curling bar to batter the alleged victim at his home east of Kootenai on Monday.
