MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake band was recently granted a road closure permit to shoot a music video.

Tracy Ekstedt, guitar player for Ironwood, a heavy metal band, received the road closure permit for Commerce Way in Moses Lake.

Commerce Way will be closed Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for shooting the video.

The video shoot will be zombie themed, with more than 20 volunteers signed up already to don full zombie makeup and regalia for the shoot.

According to Ekstedt, the video is a non-profit video being used for promotion of a musical entertainment group. The video will be directed by Justin Goodrich, of Spokane.

Ekstedt encouraged people to be extras in the video. Waivers will be available to sign the day of the shoot, he explained.

Ironwood, composing of Ekstedt on guitar, Chris Cook on vocals, Jose Yzaguirre on bass and Roger Hinshaw on drums, have been touring eastern Washington and playing together for months.

The band describes themselves, in part, as "four guys making metal music from Moses Lake and having a ton of fun in the process."
