SANDPOINT — With half of the agenda related to railroad activity, trains are the focus of the evening at Wednesday’s council meeting.

Up first, the council will investigate the possibility of applying for a railroad quiet zone from the Federal Railroad Administration. Added to the agenda by Councilman Bob Camp at the request of a local resident, the quiet zone, if granted by the federal agency, would reduce the noise level from the significant train traffic through town.
