Mueller, a freshman from Post Falls High, scored the go-ahead goal for the Beavers (5-1) in the 57th minute in Sunday's 2-1 win against Duquesne in Corvallis, Ore. Mueller, who has started two of six matches, is third on the team in scoring with seven points (three goals, one assist).

Bayley, a junior from Lakeland High in Rathdrum, shot back-to-back rounds of 74 to finish with a 4-over 148 to win the women's medalist title at the season-opening Pacific Lutheran Invitational on Sunday at Lake Spanaway Golf Course in Spanaway, Wash. Whitworth (628) rolled to the team title by 31 strokes. For her efforts, Bayley was named the Northwest Conference Female Student-Athlete of the Week.

Opland, a sophomore from Lakeland High, scored two of the Bigfoot's three goals in a 3-0 win against South Puget Sound on Sept. 13 at Spokane Falls Community College. Opland is second in scoring in the Northwest Athletic Conference with 17 points (eight goals, one assist).

Johnson, an outfielder from Lake City High and Washington State, finished the Double-A Eastern League Championship Series batting .429 (3 for 7) with a stolen base for the Mets, who swept Richmond to win the Eastern League championship. It is the team's first league title since 1994. The team finished with 89 wins, a franchise record.
