Libby stuffs Lady Dogs in conference match

Whitefish’s volleyball team took the first set at Libby on Saturday before the Loggers came back to notch a 3-1 conference win.

Libby served up 31 aces in the match to give the Dogs fits on defense.

Whitefish (0-3, 0-1) picked up 59 digs, with Maura Kalbfleisch snagging a team-high 16 and Allie Schulz getting a dozen.

Mindi Holbrook led Whitefish with nine kills. She also had four stuff blocks.

Whitefish hosts Frenchtown on Thursday with varsity set to play at 7 p.m. Saturday, the team plays in the Bonners Ferry Tournament.

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
