SANDPOINT — The city is seeking more information about the logistics of establishing a train quiet zone within city limits following council discussion Wednesday.
Brought to the City Council by Councilman Bob Camp, the quiet zone would limit passing trains’ ability to sound their horns near crossings within limits. In order to enact this quiet zone, an application will have to be sent to and approved by the Federal Railroad Administration.
