The total Missoula County budget for 2015 is $126 million. This is for a population of 110,000 people. About $1145 per resident.
The 2012 CSKT (Flathead Indian Reservation) budget was close to $218 million, (mostly taxpayers dollars) for about 5,200 tribal members living on the reservation.
That is almost $42,000 per tribal member living on the reservation. $210,000 for a family of 5. You can confirm at the below link.
Are you kidding me? (http://www.cskt.org/gov/docs/2012AnnualReport.pdf)
The last Lake County budget was $28 million for the 28,986 people (includes tribal members) living in Lake County, or about $970 per resident of Lake County (which is located on the Flathead Res.)
These are huge differences. $970 vs. $42,000.
