Chris Naccarato’s Priest River Elementary class has a friend in high places.

Dr. Steve Swanson, who returned to earth last week after being aboard the International Space Station since March 25, has been a frequent flyer in Naccarato’s class since 2003.

The photo that accompanies this column was taken by Swanson in March from the ISS.

Swanson visited this area as part of Naccarato’s unique NACA Space Program at PRE in 2003 and 2004 before he became a full-fledged astronaut and hadn’t flown in space yet.
