The Bigfork Eagle and members of the government class at Bigfork High School will present a candidates’ forum Oct. 6 in Bigfork.

The candidate forum is an opportunity for our community’s youth to learn about the political process and to educate the community about candidates running for Flathead county commission and state legislature.

The forum will be moderated by David Reese, editor of the Bigfork Eagle, and three members of the high school government class.

“As I teach government, I try to teach students about what our constitution says, and how it works,” Bigfork High School government teacher Stormy Taylor said. “This forum gives them a chance to see that their voice matters.”

The forum will be at the Bigfork Elementary School at 7 p.m. Members of the public who wish to provide input and ask questions of the candidates should come prepared to submit their questions to the moderator.
