COEUR d'ALENE - Jaimee Hulst struck a rebound off the right post into the net for her team-leading fifth goal, leading the North Idaho College Cardinals past the Yakima Valley Yaks 2-0 on Wednesday in a Northwest Athletic Conference match at Eisenwinter Field.

Elly Priddy scored on a corner kick for NIC (4-0-5, 3-0-5 NWAC), which faces Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Wash., on Saturday.

"We struggled a bit in the first 15 minutes of the game trying to get a rhythm going under Yakima's high pressure defending, but then started to settle down" NIC coach Dan Hogan said. "When Hulst scored just before the half, everyone relaxed and the second half we controlled the ball well. Priddy's goal bent inside the back post and was an impressive goal."

Yakima Valley is 3-5-1, 2-4-1.

First half - 1, NIC, Jaimee Hulst (unassisted), 42:00. Second half - 2, NIC, Elly Priddy (unassisted), 63:00.
