Deanna Dotts

Lethbridge basketball

Dotts, a 6-foot senior forward from Coeur d'Alene High and North Idaho College, started 23 of 25 games for the Kodiaks (25-2), who won the Alberta College's Athletic Conference championship and finished runner-up in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association tournament. Dotts averaged 7.36 points per game and 7.4 rebounds a game.

Carli Rosenthal

Saint Mary's basketball

Rosenthal, a senior from Coeur d'Alene High, started all 34 games for the Gaels (23-11), who lost 82-66 to UCLA in the quarterfinals of the WNIT tournament on Sunday in Los Angeles. Rosenthal averaged 8.1 rebounds and 6.7 points per game this season.

Derek Bayley

Washington State golf

Bayley, a freshman from Lakeland High, carded his second-best round of the tournament, shooting a 2-over 72 on Saturday in the final round of The Goodwin in Stanford, Calif. Bayley finished the tournament with a 7-over 217, tied for 73rd place.

Sean Sutton

Seattle baseball

Sutton, a freshman first baseman from Coeur d'Alene High, is batting .290 (9 for 31) in 17 games for the Redbirds (12-14), six coming in starts.

Katie Rowe

College of Idaho softball

Rowe, a junior shortstop from Lake City High, has started 30 of 31 she's appeared in for the Yotes (13-21), batting .376 (35 for 93) with three home runs and 22 runs batted in. She has nine stolen bases in nine attempts and a .468 on-base percentage.

Vanessa Shippy

Oklahoma State softball

Shippy, a freshman infielder from Lake City High, has started all 35 games for the Cowgirls (17-18), batting .314 (32 for 102) with 26 runs scored and 19 RBIs. She has 14 stolen bases in 17 attempts.

Casey Stangel

Washington softball

Stangel, a sophomore from Lake City High, is 8-3 with a 2.53 earned run average in 16 appearances for the Huskies (31-9), who are ranked 18th in the nation. Stangel has started in 34 of 35 appearances in the field, batting .333 (34 for 102) with 14 doubles and 15 runs scored.

Dara Kolar

Idaho State softball

Kolar, a sophomore catcher/infielder from Post Falls High, has started in 21 of her 23 appearances for the Bengals (14-12), scoring eight runs and hitting five home runs.

Sam Simmons

Idaho State track and field

Simmons, a sophomore from Timberlake High, won the women's pole vault with a jump of 13 feet, 1 inch during the Utah Valley Collegiate Meet on Friday in Orem, Utah. The mark qualifies Simmons for the Big Sky Conference Championships May 13-16 in Cheney.
