CORVALLIS – The Hot Springs track team kicked off their season with the Gene Hughes Invitational in Corvallis last week.
The Hot Springs boys competed to a seventh place finish at the meet, ending the invitational with 25 team points.
In the 100-meter sprint Anthony Byrns raced to a third place finish, crossing the finish line with a time of 11.91.
Byrns also performed well in the 200-meter dash taking second place with a time of 23.97.
Trevor Paro of Hot Springs earned a second place finish in the triple jump with a 39-02.
Paro also had a sixth place finish in the long jump with an 18-04.
Tanner Hoff did well in the javelin event, taking fifth with a throw of 155-01.
The Hot Springs track team will head to Missoula next week for a meet at Dornblaser Field hosted by the Alberton High School Track team.
