Working on numerous tips from the public, Shoshone County deputies identified three juvenile males who admitted to stretching saran wrap across Interstate 90 on March 21.

The juveniles told deputies they had heard about a similar prank taking place about a year ago and they wanted to recreate and modify it, according to information released by the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office.

The juveniles told officers they purchased the plastic wrap at the local Walmart.

The juveniles, who attend school in Kellogg, said they were not involved in a second incident, which occurred March 22.

The suspects reportedly told deputies that they did not intend to hurt anyone or damage any property. They just wanted to play a practical joke and they didn't think of the consequences.

Paperwork petitioning the three juveniles into court will be sent to the Shoshone County prosecutor with a restitution request for the damage done to one of the vehicles that struck the plastic wrap.
