Bruce D. Kiser “left this world to rejoin his beloved wife” Hazel M. Kiser on Nov. 22, 2014, after a prolonged struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and taught all of his children to hunt and fish, as well as many of his grandchildren. His love for the woods was also mirrored in his lifelong career as a logger. He enjoyed time spent logging on the Alaskan Islands where he learned to fish for halibut. Remembered by many for his amazing mechanical skills, Bruce, in his younger years, was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed his talents.

Bruce was known for his love of animals and in his lifetime had a wide variety of unique pets.

Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel M. Kiser; mother, Blanche Swaney; father, Fleetice “Fleet” Kiser; and brother, Noel D. Kiser.

He is survived by his brother, Keith “Bill” Kiser, and his wife, Kathy, of Kila; daughters, Marie McDowell and her husband Randy of Kalispell, Kay Leeds and her husband Dan of Kalispell, and Susan Wilkinson and her husband Jeffrey of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and sons, Noel Kiser and his wife Tammy of Kila, Todd Kiser and his wife Karla of Kila, and Craig Kiser of Kalispell. He also leaves behind a legacy of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside rights will be held for Bruce at 1 p.m. on April 9 at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery with longtime family friend Ron Pierce presiding.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana in his honor.
