Car went missing... along with 3 years

A woman told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about a truck stolen from a U.S. 2 address in Hungry Horse, but the evidence trail may have gone cold. The date of the alleged theft was three years ago. According to the caller, she had moved away and didn’t know that it was stolen.
Someone filed a second-hand report of an untended business on U.S. 2 West. The caller said that the business was completely empty, but open for business, at 4:45 a.m. Police checked on the place and found an employee holding down the fort.
A spree of sign vandalism was reported near North Beaver Road. They had been shot at, cut down and placed in pit toilets near the trailhead.
In some sort of Disney movie recreation, two hounds were reported to be chasing a fox near Somers Stage Road. The chase had moved on by the time animal control arrived.
The Kalispell Police Department received a report of a man yelling at a 6-month-old baby near Third Avenue East North.
Police questioned a man accused of stealing glue from a Third Avenue East North business. A searched turned up no glue, but the suspect’s info was logged.
A Jaguar, the vehicular kind, was reported to be all over the place as it traveled down Idaho Street. Two separate drivers called it in, saying other cars had to get out of the way as it sped through. This just proves the old adage that money can buy you a good car, but it can’t buy you good sense.
Reports of a young motorist driving recklessly on North Main Street turned out to be a “bunch of high school kids driving mom’s car,” according to the report. Police called the driver’s mom.
The Whitefish Police Department arrested two skateboarders on suspicion of drinking outside and being rude. A parent reported that a group of “older kids” were at the skate park “being disruptive,” yelling at a younger boy and drinking alcohol.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a man waving a gun around inside of a pickup truck on Ninth Street West. A witness said that no one seemed under duress.
A Seventh Street West resident smelled something funny enough to report to police. The caller said that it smelled like marijuana, and this wasn’t the first time the odor came from the neighbors. An officer responded but didn’t smell anything.
