"My best friend and husband ... the kindest and most loving man I've ever known, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2015, after a hard fought battle with cancer," by Misty Saganski, wife.

Mike Saganski was a devoted son, husband, father, brother and friend. Born Aug. 28, 1965, to Carl and Betty Saganski in Cheverly, Md., he spent much of his childhood in Riverside, Calif. In his late teens his family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

It is in the North Idaho area where Mike met his wife and started a family. He is survived by his loving wife, Misty Saganski; his children, Josie and Levi Saganski; his mother, Betty Saganski; siblings Chris and Kim; niece Amanda and nephew Chris.

A big heart and infectious laugh are some of the qualities that will be most remembered about Mike. He loved people and was quick to lend a hand where he could, particularly with his welding and building skills.

His children were a great source of joy to him. Together, they had many adventures outdoors making memories with archery, paintball and fishing.

As a family, they enjoyed time together watching movies and playing card games. In the summer, they loved to float on the hillbilly yacht with friends and family. His friends will remember the fun times fishing, hunting, target shooting and playing golf.

Please join us at the memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Kootenai Elementary School, where we will celebrate Mike's life. Dessert will be served following the service.
