SANDPOINT — A Washington state man accused of stabbing his father during an argument near Priest River was placed in the Idaho Department of Correction’s retained jurisdiction program on Monday.

Morgan Eugene Wolf will serve up to a year in prison before a decision is made to place him on probation or require him to serve concurrent two- to four-year terms for aggravated assault and possession of methamphetamine.

Wolf, 29, was originally charged with aggravated battery, but the offense was reduced to a lesser felony charge in exchange for pleas of guilt, according to a pretrial settlement agreement in the case.
