School election canceled
School District 6 clerk Dustin Zuffelato announced last week that the board of trustees election for this year has been canceled due to a lack of candidates.
Grad party
Parents of Columbia Falls Class of 2015 students will hold graduation party planning meetings in the high school foyer on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend and help with fundraising and planning for a safe and enjoyable night for graduating seniors. Preschool program
The HERO Preschool program at Columbia Falls High School will hold a “Meet the Teens” event on Monday, April 20, from 12:50 to 1:20 p.m. Parents can register at that time. The preschool will run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from April 20 through June 2. Children must be 3 to 4 years old and toilet trained. Cost is $30 per child. Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
