Beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, Josh Reed, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by family and loved ones on Friday, April 10, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Wash.

Josh was born on April 17, 1981, to loving parents Pete and Diane Reed.

He accomplished much in his short life and will always be remembered by those he touched throughout his life. Born and raised in North Idaho, Josh was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, but loved nothing more than being a father to his girls.

He had a gift for making friends easily because he was so kind-hearted, and was always ready to listen and offer a hug when one was needed earning him the nickname of "hugs Reed." He was always ready with hunting or fishing stories you could count on to be "embellished" so it was always better than yours. Josh loved barbecuing and smoking meats especially for large groups of people.

Growing up on Hayden Lake, Josh learned to swim and water ski at a very young age, and loved being the first guy in the lake every year with any friend he could coax into going in with him.

Josh was a 1999 graduate of Lakeland High school where he played football and enjoyed the time with his friends. In 2004 he graduated from University of Idaho where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and completed his BA in Marketing. After graduating he started his sales career at Fastenal and helped them open a store in Sandpoint, Idaho. He then followed his mother into the field of mortgage banking where he excelled and loved working with area Realtors and builders.

Although his life was cut far too short, he was blessed to have fallen in love and had three beautiful daughters: Kiah, 8, Jayden, 6, and Madisen, 5, who stole his heart day after day.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Reino Ketola; grandparents Charles and Rowena Reed; uncle Richard "Dick" Reed and uncle John Ketola. He is survived by his parents, Pete and Diane Reed; sister Danielle Reed, brother Seth Reed and sister-in-law Angie Reed; ex-wife Shavaun Reed, and his three beautiful daughters: Kiah, Jayden and Madisen; two nephews, Hudson and Asher, and niece Sienna; his brothers from another mother, Joe Finley (Carla) and Bobbi Findlay; Ted and Marilyn Bazley, grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him dearly.

A memorial service for Josh will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Anthem Friends Church, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Mountain West Bank in Josh's name on behalf of his girls.
