Troy tennis teams split matches

Troy’s boy’s and girl’s tennis teams split with Darby and Mission in St. Ignatius this past Saturday. Both squads beat Mission, but fell to Darby on a windy day on the Mission Mountain front.
Assistant coach Nancy Prieve said some players were absent from the competition due to spring break the past week in Troy, but that ended up working out alright. “There wasn’t enough time to play all of our matches with only four courts to work with,” she said. The team still didn’t return to Troy until after 11 p.m. that night.
Prieve said the team played well overall, but wouldn’t go as far as to say there is huge progress being made just yet. “Some days are good days and some are bad, but at least we didn’t get rained out,” she said.
