Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 9 years, 9 months AGO
William Mack Lee, 74, “left this earth for heaven” on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home in Kalispell, after a short battle with cancer; but not before seeing one more beautiful sunrise, his favorite time of day.
He was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Whitefish to James and Ella Mae Lee.
He attended school in the Flathead Valley and was a state wrestling champion.
In 1971, he married his best friend and soul mate, Sherry Livesay. They raised two children, Michael and Jennifer.
Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with friends. He also enjoyed taking drives around the Flathead Valley and Glacier Park.
He worked at Thomas Printing for almost 50 years. He was a member of the Eagles for 36 years and the Moose Lodge for 21 years.
Bill had a contagious smile and those who knew him well had their hearts lightened when they heard him laugh or saw that wink!
The family would like to thank their many family and friends who are always there for them. A very special thank you also to Shanon Watson who shared a very special bond with Bill and who gave so much through this trying time. They also want to thank the hospice and Kalispell Regional Medical Center for their caring and support.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, James Lee; his mother, Ella Mae Lee Montpetit; his stepfather, Dan Montpetit; a brother, John Lee; and a son, Michael Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry; his daughter, Jennifer; two grandsons, Garrett, 13, and Carson, 9; his brother, Bob Lee, and wife, Marie; and his sister, Sue Schmied, and husband, Bill.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 15, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held following the funeral in the basement of the Kalispell Eagle Lodge.
